Reflective Mirrors

I can’t force you to see
what I see, obviously
I can only share
what I see and hope
you catch a glimpse
at the very least

I don’t know why
you disagree

But someday
someway, I pray
you will begin to see
the you that I
and everybody else
sees, too

reflective mirrors

Everyone hides
at least they try
it’s up to us
to take that chance
and steal the first glance

For we’re all the same
deep inside
where it really counts
afraid to look
afraid to see
what might be looking
back at me
in my reflection
that I’d see
in you, if I dared
to steal that glance
