Feelings of Nature

I’m living in the desert
and it’s just not me
I long for the mountains
covered in green
trees, forest critters
and the wafting scents
of nature’s intimacies

snowscape landscapes
sparkling iridescence
like a blanket of diamonds
winking at me

and oh how I long for the rain

the dance of the rain
delights me, purifying
the innermost parts of me
quiet secrets whispered
by the rain
softly
falling

and storms, loud and furious
remind me that I’m alive
commanding me to feel
what Mother Nature
feels

cleansed
purified
honest
bare

alive
